Additional Information: | This Major Research Project (MRP) not only aims to investigate the impact of biophilic design on mental well-being and learning outcomes in educational settings but also emphasizes inclusivity for individuals with invisible disabilities. Drawing from personal experiences and the rising mental health challenges observed during the COVID-19 lockdown, this study aspires to bridge the gap between architecture and mental health. By incorporating nature-inspired elements into classrooms, libraries, and study spaces, the project explores how strategic design interventions can foster more supportive and sustainable learning environments. The findings are intended to guide architects, educators, and policymakers towards creating spaces that prioritize mental health, inclusivity, and student well-being, ultimately contributing to a more empathetic and human-centric approach to architectural design. |
