Abstract
The article details the career of Canadian artist, Robert Holmes (1861-1930). Holmes came to Toronto in the early 1980s, and the article discusses his time as an art teacher, a painter of Canadian wildflowers, his training at the Ontario School of Art and the Royal College of Art in England, and his roles in the Art Students' League, the Ontario Society of Artists, and the Canadian Society of Applied Art.
