Abstract
A handwritten note about the passing of Thomas Mower Martin (1838-1934). The note discusses how Martin claimed he was self-taught and that anyone who knows his work could easily recognize it. It discusses his career in general, the Royal Canadian Academy, his family, moving to Canada and how he depicted the Canadian forests, fields, and gardens in his paintings.
