Item Type: MRP
Creators: Romano, Marco
Abstract:

This Major Research Project examined the pressures facing governments, specifically regional level governments; and outlined how human-centred design can be used to mitigate some of these issues. Research was conducted on a regional government in the Greater Toronto Area to investigate what factors need to be addressed in order for governments to embrace human-centred design as a method for addressing the mounting wicked problems facing them today. A scalable design solution was proposed and rationale provided for the ways in which this design solution is uniquely suited for the particular situation(s) faced by the regional government studied.
